Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 May 2026

Aeroterm respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, for which purposes, how long we keep it and what your rights are, in compliance with Switzerland's revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) in force since 1 September 2023.

1. Data controller

Aeroterm, Chemin des Vaulx 14, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland — for any question relating to the processing of your data, please contact us at the email address listed in our legal notice.

2. Data we collect

Contact form

When you fill in the quote form, we collect: name, email, phone (optional), project type and message. This data is necessary to contact you back and prepare your quote.

Technical data

Our hosting provider (Vercel) collects standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, request timestamp) for security and diagnostics, retained for a maximum of 30 days.

Cookies

The site uses no analytics or marketing cookies to date. If we ever enable any, a consent banner will be shown in line with the nFADP.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Your data is processed in order to:

  • Reply to your quote request — legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 31 (2) (a) nFADP).
  • Issue a detailed quote and follow up on your project — legal basis: contract performance.
  • Keep the website secure (server logs) — legal basis: legitimate interest.

4. Sub-processors and transfers

To operate, we rely on providers that process your data on our behalf, under a sub-processing agreement:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States / European edge network) — website hosting and technical logs.
  • Resend, Inc. (United States) — delivery of quote requests by email to our internal mailboxes.

These transfers outside Switzerland / the EU rely on standard contractual clauses recognised by the FDPIC. A migration of hosting to a Swiss provider (Infomaniak) is planned.

5. Retention periods

  • Contact-form data: kept for the duration of the commercial follow-up, then archived for 5 years for accounting and warranty purposes, unless you request deletion.
  • Server logs: 30 days maximum.
  • Contractual data (signed quotes, invoices): 10 years in line with Swiss accounting obligations.

6. Your rights

Under the nFADP, you have the right to:

  • Access — know which data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct any inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Portability — receive your data in a readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise these rights, please write to the email address in our legal notice. We respond within 30 days. In case of dispute, you may refer the matter to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

7. Security

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS), stored in secure infrastructures and accessible only to authorised people within Aeroterm. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, unauthorised access or alteration.

8. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable regulations. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
