Solar &photovoltaic

A well-installed photovoltaic system pays itself back in 8 to 12 years and keeps producing for 25 more. We handle the study, the installation, the federal subsidy application (RIR/RPC) and the grid connection with your distribution operator (SIG, Romande Énergie, etc.).

Solutions

Several technologies,one study per building.

  • On-roof (over tiles)

The most common option: panels are installed above the existing roof covering. Fast installation, proven durability, ideal for retrofits.

    • Installation in 2 to 4 days
    • Every type of roof
    • Payback 8 to 12 years
  • In-roof (integrated)

Panels replace the roof covering across the equipped area. Premium finish, particularly suited to new builds or full retrofits.

    • Premium aesthetics
    • Watertightness included
    • Compliant in protected zones
  • Solar carport

A free-standing structure that produces electricity and shelters vehicles. Often combined with an EV charger driven by solar production.

    • Dual use: shelter + production
    • EV charger ready
    • No change to the existing roof
  • Battery storage

A home battery (BYD, Fronius, LG) increases self-consumption up to 80 %. Relevant when feed-in tariffs are low and daytime consumption limited.

    • Self-consumption 60-80 %
    • Reference brands: BYD, Fronius, LG
    • Backup possible during outages

Process

From the auditto commissioning.

  1. 01

    Solar study

Site visit, sunlight measurement, annual production calculation, sizing against your consumption.

  2. 02

    Administrative filing

Notification to SIG (or other operator), federal RIR application, municipal permit if required.

  3. 03

    Installation

Panel, inverter and cabling installation. 2 to 4 days for a villa, 1 to 2 weeks for a condominium.

  4. 04

    Commissioning

Grid connection, energising by the operator, production monitoring, warranty.

Questions

What weget asked.

A question that isn't covered here? Ask us directly.

  • What is the budget for a photovoltaic installation?

Expect CHF 18'000 to 28'000 for an 8 kWp villa system (24 panels), CHF 25'000 to 38'000 for 15 kWp. These prices are before the federal RIR subsidy, which typically covers 25 to 30 % of the gross.

  • What subsidy is available in Switzerland in 2026?

The federal RIR one-off rebate is paid by Pronovo after commissioning. Cantonal or municipal subsidies sometimes add to it. We prepare the full file.

  • Do I need a battery?

Not essential: without a battery, the surplus is fed back to the grid at your supplier's rate. A battery becomes relevant if you consume little during the day and the feed-in tariff is low (<10 ct/kWh).

  • How long does a PV system last?

Panels are warranted 25 to 30 years (>85 % yield at 25 years). Inverters are warranted 10 to 12 years. Mounts, brackets and cabling last 30+ years.

  • What yield on a poorly-oriented roof?

An east-west orientation produces ~85 % of a south-facing one, but spreads production over the day — often better for self-consumption. We compute the exact figures during the study.

  • And for condominiums?

Absolutely possible. We support the assembly meeting, present the collective financial case, and structure the collective self-consumption (RCP) across units.
